• Hi we noticed that every time Yoast SEO is active we experience a high CPU usage.

    We already deactivate other plugins and switch theme and we have isolated that Yoast SEO free version is the culprit.

    We are using WPRSS plugin is there any conflict reported with this plugin?

    CAn you please help.

    Hello @jhimross,

    We are sorry that the Yoast SEO causes high CPU usage; we do not have a report of a conflicting plugin.

    Can you confirm that your site meets the plugin requirements? For more information on all of the plugin requirements, you can refer to this article — https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/

    @maybellyne,

    As you probably know by now, there are many Yoast users reporting the same issue. Yoast has opened a ticket to address and fix the issue. Apparently, Yoast 14.9 and 15.0 (by consequence) are duplicating WordPress back-end functions.

    More details can be found in this thread.

    Hope this helps. Check with your peers. They should have more info.

    Have a safe, productive week!

    Hi, we understand Yoast is causing some unexpected high CPU usage. To clarify, does the issue still happen if Yoast is the only plugin active on the site AND your theme is a basic one like 2020 or 2019?

    This guide explains more about how to do a conflict check: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/

    If so, it is likely related to the issue pointed out in that thread. Our developers are aware of it and are working on a fix. We are not sure when a fix will be ready only that it is actively being worked on.

    In the meantime, we suggest signing up for our newsletter as that is where we will announce product changes and updates. You may sign-up for it here https://yoast.com/ by scrolling towards the bottom to complete the sign-up field.

    @devnihil,

    This issue IS NOT resolved.

    Inactivity does not always imply the issue is solved. It means — in many cases — we’re waiting for a solution or fix from Yoast.

    Thank you for your understanding!
