I am having an issue with multiple installs of PageBuilder, when updating to the latest version. On any page with a SiteOrigin Image Widget present, some images in the back end section will appear momentarily, then disappear, replaced with a ‘not found’ icon and just the some ALT text.

    Some things I’ve noticed:
    – Only happens when Yoast is activated
    – Only happens when editing a page with a ‘SiteOrigin Image’ widget present
    – Images in the back end are replaced with the contents of the LAST ‘Siteorigin Image’ widget on the page. The URL becomes the image ID (ie. #1885, #284 etc.)

Thanks, Shaun, I’ll get Alex to attend as soon as he’s back online, he’s most current on this topic. Can you please, confirm for us the version of Yoast being used? Can you also confirm that you’ve tested with only Yoast and Page Builder activated, everything else temporarily deactivated? And if caching is in use, clear cache before the test.

    Hi shaun,

I would recommend trying what Andrew suggested as that should allow us to confirm this issue is specific to those two plugins. I would also recommend temporarily changing theme if the issue remains after disabling all of your other plugins just to rule that out also.

Hi Alex, the conflict happens with Yoast 7.5.3 and the latest version 7.8. I haven’t got any sites with versions in between.

I’ve just tried a new site, removing the theme (Buildpress) and replacing that with TwentySeventeen, plus deactivating all plugins except Yoast and PageBuilder. The issue is still present.

To replicate this, just install any other plugin that uses a PNG image for its icon in the left hand menu (not a font icon). Then create a page with a ‘SiteOrigin Image’ widget anywhere in the layout. You will find that the PNG icon image in the left menu will vanish, replaced with the ID of the SiteOrigin Image.

    Hi shaun,

Thank you. I’ve been able to replicate this issue and I’ve logged it with the development team. Unfortunately, this issue will require a plugin update to fix.

Hi Shaun, we’ve pushed an update for Page Builder, please give it a try.

Thanks for your help in isolating this issue.
