I went back to version 2.3.5, nothing was lost.

Maybe now I can get some work done

Download link for 2.3.5 is: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wordpress-seo.2.3.5.zip

Alternatively you can download the Rollback plugin and then roll back to 2.3.5 without having to fire up (S)FTP: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/

    Hi,

    thanks to MiaMcP.

    (@melanie1979)

yes please give back the 2.3.5

i dont like to risk to do use the rollbak link and 2.3.5. zip (many thanks for these links piet bos)
because i am no technie and do ot like to risk to kill all or get from now on errors and errors

so i prefer that yoast gives an officiel update what in real a downgrade
    to the working 2.3.5

i will hope that google do not revenge this and my site are punishment

MiaMcP can you outline the steps you took to revert to 2.3.5? You said “nothing was lost.” Did you have to redo all the settings again?

    Thank you.

The advanced tab is missing. It was very easy to do a 301 redirect from the advanced tab. Please bring it back. Version 2.3.5 was, in my opinion, a better platform.

    jortiz8,

Download the version 2.3.5 here: https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/wordpress-seo.2.3.5.zip

I went onto my server, renamed the wordpress-seo folder to broken. Then used the admin panel in WordPress to install and upload version 2.3.5 then activated it. Once it was activated I deleted the “broken” folder.

Then I went to CloudFlare, deleted my cache there and deleted my cache in FireFox and refreshed my plugins page in WordPress and all was good. All was good, my settings & data were all there.

Or you can use the Rollback Plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-rollback/

It is very dissapointing that someone from Yoast don’t even respond on the reviews and on the questions here in the support forum.

It seems that they do not bother at all. And this is really a bad customer service.

Do anyone know any other seo plugin as a better alternative to Yoast SEO.

uff, sounds not so very easy with this way to go back to a working version
and if somewhere else some hidden error(s) insidious in ??

..thanks for the info about the way how do you di this )miamcpi(

for my part i think about the rollback plugin
or i realy think about to uninstall the hole yoast
..hwo knows what goes all wrong at the moment and how confused google my domain now see ??
…maybe the best seo will no more repair a negative judgment what we get with our sites at the moment

—i realy dont understand why yoast not quick rollout a backupdate to 2.35
so many users have the problems and this looks not like a mini bug where one comma is missing only

    (@westendselfstorage)

AGREED! I’m having nothing but problems with the new one.

Most welcome jortiz8. Once I went back to version 2.3.5 I had no issues.

I didn’t want to start with another SEP plugin because I have put work into adding keywords, meta data and that would be lost if I switched to another plugin.

I turned off auto update for Yoast SEO in JetPack/WordPress.com. I will never auto update this plugin again, I will wait until I know there is a stable version.

Quite honestly, this whole upgrade fiasco looks like one big con to get people to pay for onpage.org. Which by the way, is absolute rubbish, unless you fork out for the pro version.

For those who hate this upgrade, use WP Rollback to go back to version 2.3.5, and forget that this sad story ever happened. Yoast is Toast!

I am very sorry to have to say that after years of satisfaction, but this really has been an unmitigated disaster, which has affected so many users. It’s really quite unforgivable.
