    Hi there!

We’re having a very strange issue. We run a food blog and we use Yoast as our SEO plugin. We noticed that we had issues when going on the sign up page and/or trying to submit a recipe – the site would return a 500 internal server error after a few minutes of waiting for the page to respond.

We reached out to our hosting provider and asked them to do some troubleshooting and this is what they said – see https://prnt.sc/F5X3_KJGMzb5

The strange issue is that we can confirm with Yoast disabled, we have no issues. Once we enable Yoast, registering on the site and / or submitting a recipe crashes.

We tried updating Yoast, we tried rolling to a previous version of it, unfortunately without any luck.

    Any advices?

    Thank you,
    Radu

  • Hello.
Just to add to this thread – we are experiencing the same issues as described above. We have many sites all running Yoast and the latest update to the Yoast plugin is causing wordpress to exceed the memory limit. This is causing 500 errors as described above.
We’ve managed to roll back a few sites to the previous Yoast version (which has helped), but we simply have too many websites for this to be feasible on all of them.
Please let us know what the issue is and how quickly you can get this resolved.

    Many thanks

Hey @damiendoherty, sorry to hear about you having these issues also. Would you mind telling me to which version did you revert to so I can give it a shot and see if that makes any difference?

    Thanks!

    Hi @radu88
19.1 seems to work fine for us.

    Thanks

What versions of WP and PHP are you on?
