    Hi,

Is this a bug or normal behavior ?

Yoast is not saving Title and Description set in WooCommerce product categories.

    Thanks

    Hi @pumpk1in

We’re sorry that you are experiencing problems that might be caused by our plugin!

We expect few more information about your setup. This might help us replicate the issue on our end:

    1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, WooCommerce and WordPress? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Are you seeing any JavaScript errors in your browser console?

If you see any sort of errors or warnings, can you please write us what they are? If possible, can you take a screenshot that highlights this issue? This would help us investigate the issue further.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi,

I have two JS errors :

    - TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating '$( '#SnS_classes_body' ).val().split') (meta-box.js)
    - TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'YoastSEO.app.registerPlugin') (yoast-acf-analysis.js)

    No PHP errors when saving.

We also have the latest WordPress, WooCommerce and Yoast.
Some plugins are not up to date but should not interfere (RSS, slider… nothing related to WC)

    Thanks

    Hi,

We would like some more information.

    1. We understand that some plugins should not interfere but we ask that you please update them. This will help us rule out or in older plugins as the cause. This is especially true if you are using ACF plugins on the site.

    2. Are you using any ACF plugins on the WooCommerce Product category pages? If so, which ones? Also, what ACF fields are in use on it? Text fields or something else?

We ask as the error message reported seems to imply you have ACF on the site and/or are using it on those category pages.

    3. Does the issue resolve if you use a different browser such as Chrome or FireFox? Are they updated?

    4. Does the issue resolve if you use another device such as another computer, tablet, or mobile phone?

    5. If you have any browser plugins, does disabling them resolve the issue? Adblock and Privacy Badger are two popular ones.

    Hi, thanks.

I made a copy of the website to do some tests.
Everything up to date on it.

I tried with the default theme, same problem.
I tried to disable all ACF related plugins, same (but no more js errors).
I tried to disable WPML, same.
Tried another browser : same problem.
About browser plugins, I don’t have any content/ad blocker active on that website.

    Thanks ??

    Hi @pumpk1in ,

Thank you for letting us know about your testing results. Unfortunately, we could not reproduce the issue on our testing site.

    We’ve tested on:
    – WordPress 5.5.3

    Enabled Plugins:
    – Yoast SEO 15.3
    – WooCommerce 4.7.1

    Theme: Twenty Nineteen

If you copy the same setup, are you able to resolve the issue? You may also want to follow our conflict check guide here: https://yoast.com/help/how-to-check-for-plugin-conflicts/.

We look forward to your response.

    Hi,

I found the conflict. We believed META was not saved but it was. This is just a display problem on the admin side.

This is due to the “Scripts n Styles” plugin.
Certainely a JS conflict, as it works while disabled.

You finally found the conflicting plugin. We are glad to know the issue has been resolved. We suggest looking for an alternative plugin that matches your requirement.
