I am running WordPress 6.4.1 but I cannot access my SEO meta toolbar in product edits although it is displayed or Yoast settings in plugin page … blank page displayed. I am the admin. (I can access it through creating user as shop manager.) My plugin page shows this error:

Upgrade WordPress to the most recent version
We’ve noticed that you’re not on the latest WordPress version, which might cause an issue soon. Yoast (for reasons of security and stability) only supports the current and previous version of WordPress. When the next version of WordPress comes out, that means that we will support WordPress 5.3 and 5.4. This means you will not get any updates to Yoast SEO until you update your WordPress, so please make sure to upgrade to the latest WordPress version soon!

    Hello @sltarnow,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin. Please share a screenshot of what you have when you click on the W in the top left in your WordPress dashboard and selecting About.

You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

    Thanks for the screenshot, @sltarnow.

    WordPress version
I can confirm you have WordPress 6.4.1. So there’s nothing to upgrade. The upgrade notice is a false positive

I cannot access my SEO meta toolbar in product edits although it is displayed or Yoast settings in plugin page

Can you share a screenshot of that also? And the upgrade notice.

    Thanks.

Thanks for the screenshots. I see that the notice also says you have Yoast SEO 15.6, though that’s also incorrect. However, I recommend manually re-installing the plugin

    Option 1: Uninstall and Reinstall

This method will remove all plugin files and install a freshly downloaded copy. As you are removing and uploading a new copy, you will have a clean install of the plugin. Please follow the steps to uninstall the plugin before you install the latest version. You can download the latest version here.

Option 2: Via S/FTP or File Manager

This method entails deleting the old plugin files and uploading the new plugin files to the same folder path. We have a step-by-step guide to help you through the process. How can I manually update my (premium) plugin? If you are unfamiliar with using FTP, your web host may be able to help.

Do let me know how it goes.

In my cloned WP test staging site I deactivated and deleted Yoast through the WP dashboard. I then reinstalled and re-activated the plugin. Unfortunately, the meta toolbar displays but is still not usable.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty-Two.

Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.

If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts

If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.

    Hello,

As I wrote when I first posted this item:

“I am the admin. (I can access it through creating user as shop manager.)”?

Other users can access as well with shop manager credentials, same WP website, same plugins.

I am not comfortable with your solution and paying for an upgrade to solve this problem does not sit well with me,

    Thank you for your time

I think I will have to uninstall Yoast. My secondary user is not only a shop manager but also an SEO manager. When logged in as this user I tried to access the Yoast plugin and the website experienced a critical failure. Perhaps this helps. But I cannot spend much more time on this.

Furthermore, I can access Yoast/settings through Yoast/reports without any difficulty but not Yoast/general.

What plugin was causing the conflict?

Sorry, don’t remember the exact details but it was a WP LOG VIEWER that hadn’t been updated for 6 years.
