    Hi there.

I get the “Yoast SEO was unable to create the database tables required and as such will not function correctly.” error.

And i sent the mail that you suggested to my host service, but they dont know Exactly what to do in the db. What premission to give to who and how.

Can you be specific and explain (in programmers language) what should be done, so i can forward the anser to my host provider?

i wrote email to support (who clarified me taht i cant get support if im not paying)
i told them that it’s a bug. and they should support any costumer with known bugs.

    i wrote them:

    “I didn’t bought yoast.
But thats a bug in YOUR plug in.
    So support is essential.
Specific at this issue, all your users should get support because thats somthing you caused that damaged my website seo and structure.

So write down what i need to tell my host provider to enable yoast to create tables or whatever baypass your bug.”

    they reply:

“Thank you for getting back. We are sincerely sorry about the issue with creating database tables by the plugin.

Even if we are unable to provide support to free Yoast SEO users through email (email support is included in Yoast SEO Premium subscription), this does not mean we will not help you. Please post/submit your inquiry in our www.ads-software.com forum so one of our staff can further check on your issue. You may need an account on www.ads-software.com in order to be able to post.

That said, we would suggest performing the following steps:
Install the Yoast Test Helper plugin, you can add it by going to Plugins > Add New > Search for ‘Yoast Test Helper’ – or download it https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/yoast-test-helper/.
Go to Tools > Yoast Test
Click the Reset indexables tables & migrations button.
Go to SEO > Tools and click the “Speed up my Site” button to let the indexation run
The reset button with the Help Test Plugin should recreate the necessary tables and then you can re-run the process.

If it should not work, please contact us in our www.ads-software.com forum, where we’ll be happy to assist you as our free user.”

    i answered:

    “Thanks Laura!
    appreciate it! really.

i did the 1st step of “reset indexable….”

but i cant find “Go to SEO > Tools and click the “Speed up my Site” button to let the indexation run”

is that only on the Premium Version?”

    and now im STUCK!

    error pressist.

    Help!!!

@dewzone We recently released Yoast SEO 14.1. Can you please update the plugin?

@maybellyne just updated to latest version. re indexing again of around 87000* objects.

Will update once again after the end of the indexing. Weather it will complete or not.

    Hi @sagimaster,

We’re sorry to hear that you are still having issues with the 14.0 update.

Can you please request the following information from your webhost?:
    1) Can you please make sure that your WordPress database user has the proper permissions? Yoast SEO requires the following permissions: ALTER, CREATE, DELETE, INDEX, INSERT, SELECT, UPDATE and DROP.

    2) Does the issue persist if you update to the latest 14.1 release?

3)Can you please check your wp-config.php file and let us know what the DB_CHARSET and DB_COLLATE settings are?

    4) Can you please check your database and verify if the following tables were in fact created? : _yoast_indexable, _yoast_indexable_hierarchy, _yoast_migrations, _yoast_primary_term

@dewzone we’ve replied in the initial thread you created here.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue. Thank you!
