Yoast enabled: checkout page gateway times out

    This issue existed in wordpress 4.5.2 and 4.5.1.

    After updating YOAST to 3.2.5 customers started complaining they could not complete sales.

    I disabled all plugins one by one and tested the checkout page button “Proceed to paypal”.
    When Yoast SEO was activated, the page would hang and the message displayed “gateway timed out”.
    Deactivating Yoast and everything works well.

    Is there a fix or solution for this?
