Yoast has apparently bailed on supporting the free version..

I emailed them asking if the PAID version is working well and that I’d be willing to pay for it if it was.

I got some kind of vague reply, basically saying it’s a work in progress and to bugger off, along with the drivel about how many users they have..,.they do not give a crap. We’re just using a previous version until and if they ever manage to sort out their problems.

Yoast’s best days are behind them…it seems.

Sorry it’s taken us so long to get back to you. A long time has passed since your review. Do you still use our plugin? If not, we’ve made a ton of changes to Yoast SEO and would like to invite you to give the plugin a new try. In fact, we’ve added functionality to disable entire parts of the plugin, to allow you to use only what you need. Notifications and tools can be toggled on and off to your liking.

If you want to learn more about the plugin before installing it, we feel our knowledge base is the best place to start.
