    Hi guys,

I’m just starting with a site that runs Yoast already but is heavily customized.
Before running into issues I would like to be sure your importer accurately imports:

    – all SEO custom and default titles,
    – meta descriptions,
    – focus keyphrases,
    – default and individual advanced settings for follow/nofollow and index/noindex

as well as whether the sitemap^s URL will remain the same without needing to submit a new one.

    Thanks!

    Hello @dsl225

Yes, you can rest assured that all the settings from Yoast can be imported to Rank Math from the setup wizard, right after activating the plugin. This includes all the settings you mentioned. The sitemap URL remains the same and you don’t have to submit it again.

Hope that helps. If you have any other question, please feel free to ask.

You can also refer to the following article on how to do the migration:

    Hi again!

Before importing Yoast settings to the main site, I tested the import with another test site and I noticed that Opengraph settings for images on FB and other custom images settings for FB specified in some specific pages were not imported.

Is this the normal behavior and I’ll have to set them manually one by one in settings again or did I miss something during the import?

    Thanks.

    Hello @dsl225

    That should not be happening.

Can you please install WordPress locally by using a Software like this and then test?

Please let us know your findings.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Maybe this was due to the fact that for testing I didn’t use my Rankmath account nor Webmaster Tools.

I don’t want to test again but I’ll go ahead with the final site. I noted down all those custom settings and will re-apply them manually if needed. Will see if that happens again and will let you know how it goes.

    Thanks.

    UPDATE

I finally migrated from Yoast and everything went smoothly and with very helpful guidance along the way!

The only thing I cannot find in final settings are the Opengraph settings for FB. I did include a default image for FB during the initial Wizard installation process, but I cannot find it anymore in Settings if I need to change it…

    Hello @dsl225

    That’s great news!

You can change the default OG image from WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Global Meta > OpenGraph Thumbnail
    /wp-admin/admin.php?page=rank-math-options-titles#setting-panel-global

Hope that helps. If there’s anything else, please let us know. We are here to help.

    Thank you.
