Yoast Incompatibility: Meta Date Incorrect with Co-Authors Plus Author Archives

There is a compatibility issue with Yoast SEO plugin and author pages.

The meta og:url and canonical links are showing the first-viewed author archive URL in all author archives.
If you use the Yoast Test Helper plugin and clear the Yoast SEO saved data for the site, the url shows correctly on the next visit to any author archive page, then it shows the URL for that same author in the meta tags of every author archive page henceforth.
