    Hi there.

I just updated to the new version of Yoast, and hit that button: Click here to speed up your site now

It counted a number of ‘objects’ to indexate (?) and started running, but it keeps running beyond that number. When I stopped it and restarted it, the initial count was lower and has gone from 94 to 60something to now 53, where it stays, apparently. The process keeps going and going, counting indefinitely.

I have another site (same server) that works as you would expect and stops after processing the first number of objects, so how can this be? And is it a problem?

Has anyone else come across this?

This is what the box says (with the 375 going up and up):

    Yoast indexation status
    Close
We’re processing all of your content to speed it up! This may take a few minutes.

    Object 375 of 53 processed.

    Stop indexation

    Thanks. Best, Asser.

If you update to the most current version of Yoast SEO version 14.0.4, does this resolve the issue? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Plus one… I have the same issue. I have the latest version of the plugin.

I have the same issue. I have Yoast SEO 14.0.4.

    Keeps running past 10 000 on 40…

No issue on other sites, same server.

where is my issue text. Who deleted it?

If you haven’t already, please try the following:

    • Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
    • Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
    • Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button
    • Delete your current Yoast SEO installation.
    • Update to Yoast SEO 14.0.4
    • Click the “Click here to speed up your site now” button.
      Does this resolve the issue?

Deleting Yoast plugin will also delete all settings and content added in titles and meta descriptions if I’m not wrong. I can extract the zip file to replace the files on the server but wouldn’t do delete and install it at a first test.

I thought it was a known bug as there is still plenty of bugs in the 14.0.4 version on different sites and hosts on my side. So would assume they would have converted these by this week.

But I will deep dive more once I have time thanks.

    Hi,
    I did
Install & activate the Yoast Test Helper plugin
Go to Tools -> Yoast Test
Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button

However, I had not tryed to remove and add again. I can try but please confirm 100% that if I uninstall the plugin, non of the thousands of carefully written descriptions for SEO and Social Media would be deleted.

@alriksso @thomanji Deleting the plugin’s files will not remove any of your settings or data that created (such as titles, meta descriptions, etc). That data is stored separately from the plugin’s files in your WordPress database.

We are going ahead and marking this issue as resolved due to inactivity. If you require any further assistance please create a new issue.

Will run WP-CLI on all sites that seem to solve all issues running it through the application.
