Yoast Meta Description
-
Hi. I have Yoast 7.1 installed with the Enfold wordpress theme.
My site is indexed as a google News Source and I recently googled the site name “horror news network” and saw that it is just taking the latest story and not the site meta description which I entered in Yoast.
Wordpress dashboard -> SEO-> Search Appearance -> The info is filled out in the meta description but for some reason it does not show in Google. It has been like this for weeks. My site gets indexed often as it is a news source. When I view the source of the page this is the message it gives me:
<!– This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v7.1 – https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ –>
<!– Admin only notice: this page doesn't show a meta description because it doesn't have one, either write it for this page specifically or go into the SEO -> Search Appearance menu and set up a template. –>Is anyone having this problem? I deactivated other plugins and went back to the page and viewed source but still no change.
Any assistance would be much appreciated!
