When I wanted to see the content of my sitemap I got this error message:

Fout bij laden van stijlblad: Er is een netwerkfout opgetreden tijdens het laden van een XSLT-stijlblad:
    https://www.magoster.nl/main-sitemap.xsl
Translated: network error on loading XSLT-stylesheet.

It looks like there is no xml-stemap at all. That is to say, I don’t see it.

During a year I used the Yoast Premium plugin but I decided that a payed version was obsolete for this site with too limited visitors. So I deleted that version and now I have the basic version. This might be a cause? But I am not sure that the payed version generated a sitemap rightly before.

Anyway, what can I do to (re)generate a valid sitemap?

    Cheers

  • Hi @rudolph-smits,

Thank you for reaching out. This is a known bug in the current version, where the stylesheet might not load under some circumstances. This will be fixed in the upcoming release 14.7.

Having said this, please know that this visual bug is only occuring when the sitemap is seen in a browser, search engines like Google look at the page source of the sitemap and that is present.

    Dear Jeroen

Thanks a lot, this is very reassuring.

And indeed, I saw this the first time on my iPad (Safari) and today on the desktop (Firefox). Looking in Google Search it seemed that Google “saw” the content allright (as you state) but when I tried to see the content myself the XSLT-error showed again.

So, no worry for me then, I’ll wait for the 14.7 version.

    Thanks for your rapid response!

    Cheers,
    Rudolph Smits
