Yoast no longer working on my site

    I have used the free Yoast SEO plugin for years without (for the most part) problems. I since switched to Divi theme and the Yoast plugin no longer works, nothing shows up in the Editor other than the icons for Content Optimization, Sharing and Advanced, but although they “claim” to be clickable, nothing happens when clicked. I use Divi and Yoast on a number of other sites I manage (and all on the same hosting provider) with no problems. But on my site, nothing. I don’t know which came first before the break: the switch to Divi theme or the latest Yoast update.

  • This problem has been going on for months. If you deactivate Yoast, does the problem persist? It does for me, and a few hundred of us. I use the Divi theme and Divi builder, and it appears to be a conflict between the two. I’ve also seen throughout the forums that folks are having the same issue with other site builders. It also happens when you switch to a basic WordPress theme.

    Good luck! You will get the same canned response about checking for conflicts and JS errors.

    I’ve been following folks regarding this issue, and everyone has been begging for a fix but it’s apparent nobody at Yoast is in a hurry to correct it! I believe too much time is being spent on Gutenberg. But, when you’re the 800lb Gorilla in the SEO plugin world, you can do whatever you want!

    Really not trying to be cynical, but lots of us pay good money for a product that should be in top working condition!
