Yoast doesn’t recognize internal or outbound links in any post

1) Are you using the default Gutenberg content editor or a page builder plugin Elementor to add the content and links on your site?

I’m using Gutenberg (If that’s what “welcome to the block editor” means.)

2) Are you using the links in absolute format?
I don’t know what absolute format means. The links for internal are pasted via the permalink for the post and external addresses are added by copying the address from browser address bar.

3) Does the issue occour on a single page only or throughout the entire site?
It occurs for every post I have ever created for my site.

Thanks for providing that information and for confirming that you are using the default WordPress block/Gutenberg editor. Since you are using the default editor and not any of the custom theme boxes or page builders that build on top of the standard editor, we would expect that the content analysis would be correct and accurate.

When we say links in absolute format, we mean the full link, including the https://www part of the URL, when you add the internal or external text link.

We checked on the post you’ve mentioned, and in the first paragraph, we do see that there is both an internal text link (anchored to the text “expire”) and an outbound text link (anchored to the text “step one”), so we would expect the Yoast SEO plugin to be able to detect this.

Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict, is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.

Please test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
