Yoast not recognizing transition words with polylang

Hello everyone,

After having used Yoast succesfully on some other sites, i came across an issue in combination with the Polylang multilingual plugin.
When creating a (dutch) page and filling it in with all the required information, everything works fine.
If however i duplicate the page in german or english, and have that set in polylang so it also shows up as the english or german translation of that page, transition words are no longer recognized.
The webpage for yoast does say english and german are supported, so there must be something i’m doing wrong, are there any additional settings i need to change so wordpress recognizes the languages these pages are written in?
