I use other plugins to optimise, I think a combination of these has broken my WP site.

How do I remove the Yoast optimise speed up website feature?

  • Hi @1stoptravel,

We’re sorry to hear your ran into problems. Yoast SEO doesn’t have a specific ‘speed up’ feature. What you’re probably referring to is that our latest release, 14.0.x, has a significant speed improvement. That’s not something you can disable.

Therefore we’d be interested to hear more about the problems you ran into. Can you please describe it in detail, following our article about writing a bug report?

    Ok no problem will do.

In the meantime is there any way I can roll back the Yoast update to the previous version?

Yes, that is no problem. You can download previous versions of plugins on the Advanced tab of the plugin page here, see:

    Thank you.

Quick question, what update was “speed up your site now” feature included in?

NEW: Yoast SEO can now store your site’s SEO data in a smarter way!
Don’t worry: this won’t have to be done after each update.
