Hi @daanw85,
Thanks for reaching out.
In order to troubleshoot the issue, could you please check the following steps?
1. Can you confirm your server has all the right requirements? This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/help/plugin-requirements/
2. Can you confirm that all the Yoast & non-Yoast plugins and themes are updated to the latest version? In most cases, these steps resolve this issue, but if the issue remains:
3. Can you check for any PHP errors related to Yoast SEO in your email or in the server error logs? You can find the errors yourself by enabling WP_DEBUG in your wp-config.php file. Once you have enabled it, reproduce the error, and check for any Yoast SEO errors in the debug.log file. You can also check with your web host to see if there’s a related error in your PHP error logs.
4. Often, we see problems occur in combination with another plugin or theme. The fastest way to rule out any conflict is to deactivate all non-Yoast plugins except Polylang and switch to a standard theme like Twenty Twenty.
Please test this on your development or staging site if you have one. If not, we recommend using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin. This plugin has a troubleshooting mode, which does not affect normal visitors to your site.
If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts
If you feel uncomfortable doing this yourself or if this does not solve your issue, our Yoast SEO Premium plugin comes with one year of (technical) support.
