    Hello.

I am using this plugin for a custom search result layout on my client’s development site (currently testing) and they are also using YOAST SEO on their site. They have a ton of posts that have a “Primary Category” marked, as this is a feature of Yoast SEO to have a “Primary”. My client wants whatever is marked as primary to show on the front end results, but in the CL Post Template Editor for Flat – Landscape, the Taxonomy element setting only has “Categories” and needs to include the “PRIMARY CATEGORY” to select. Can someone help me figure out how to accomplish this.

    Thanks.

Hello! Is this something that is/will be possible? If not, I will need to move on.

    Thank you so much!

    Hey @emgb_520

It’s not going to be possible to achieve through our plugin UI without us writing a specific integration for Yoast and the way they handle primary categories.

You could filter the output of our element, and essentially regenerate this yourself in the desired order, but that’s going to take some coding:
    https://customlayouts.com/documentation/action-filter-reference/

The filter you would need is ‘custom-layouts/element/render_output’.
I’m afraid the news is not more positive at the moment.

    Best
