Hi, I have the WP Recipe Maker Premium 9.8.0 and Yoast SEO 24.4 plugins. I’m adding articles inside the WP Recipe Maker card, filling in all the fields, but Yoast doesn’t recognize the text inside it, giving me red readability and orange SEO scores. It says that internal links are missing (even though they are inside the WP Recipe Maker card), the focus keyphrase is missing in the introduction (even though it is correctly added in the WP Recipe Maker description), and so on.

Of course, I have already enabled the integration with WP Recipe Maker inside Yoast → Integrations, and there is a green ? checkmark.

When I check on Google Search Console, it correctly recognizes the recipe format and the filled-in fields. The issue only occurs with Yoast, both for readability and SEO.

    How can I fix this?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

That’s normal, actually. Yoast does not see the text inside of the recipe card, so their readability and SEO scores covers the post content itself. So I recommend using Yoast SEO to optimize the post content outside of the recipe card and our plugin will take care of the recipe metadata.

Take note that Google does see everything, of course, so it’s not an SEO problem.

The Yoast Integration we have right now is for including the recipe metadata as part of their schema graph. When enabled, our metadata basically fits nicely into theirs, with recipes defined as “being part of” the parent article.

    Kind regards,
    Brecht

Ok, I just wanted confirmation. Yes, by scanning my various recipe pages, the metadata is read correctly. That’s what matters.

    Thank you.
