Yoast says I have no Robots.txt

Yoast says I have no Robots.txt file but Google search console shows that I do have one. If I create one through the Yoast tool, will it override the file that is showing on search console or will it create a second one and mess things up? Please advise as I need to add a condition to the robots.txt file as soon as possible.
