Yoast SEO 20.1 is causing 503 errors

    Hey guys, long time user of your plugin here. I’ve been dealing with a hanging page load on several sites, and my web host (flywheel) has just informed me that the 503 errors are being caused by the Yoast SEO plugin, after it’s updated to 20.1. I’m having to revert back to v19, or just disabling it.

    Using Themify Ultra for the theme.

    I’m sorry about the 503 errors you experienced on your sites with Yoast SEO 20.1. Since a 503 – service unavailable error means there was a bad connection to a server, please request more details about the error or error logs from your web hosting provider. Having the log file and the errors there would be a good starting point for us to find the cause of the issue.

    As server logs can cover a large amount of time, please limit the error log to a few minutes before you generated the error to a few minutes after the 503.
