Yoast Seo analysis has suddenly stopped working on all pages of my website. And before I ask questions in this forum, I have done what you recommend to people who are also having the same problem as me before on this forum, such as:

    1. We would first recommend checking the following settings to ensure that they are set correctly:

Can you confirm that you have the proper user permissions? You can check by going to Users-> Your Profile-> Yoast SEO Settings (may need to scroll down) and confirming that “Disable SEO analysis” and “Disable readability analysis” didn’t click?
Can you confirm that SEO, Readability, and Insights are all enabled by going to SEO-> General-> Features and checking that SEO Analysis, Readability Analysis, and Insights are set to ‘On’?
Can you confirm that SEO and Readability are enabled on posts? You can check by going to SEO-> Search Appearance-> Content Types and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “Show” for each content type (page, post, etc.)?

    2. You may need to do a conflict check as it might be caused by a plugin or theme conflict. You can follow the steps here on how to perform conflict check.

    3. Yoast SEO meta box relies on JavaScript to do all of its tasks. If JavaScript is disabled, blocked, or detected a conflict, you may see an empty or semi-empty box.
Check the browser console for JavaScript errors.

I have done all the steps and there are no problems at all. I have no problem with JavaScript, plugins and themes are not conflicting at all, and I have done the Yoast SEO settings properly.

I hope you can help me solve this problem asap.

    Thank you

@askcaraa We’re sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue with the Yoast SEO metabox.

Can you please first confirm whether your server meet the minimum requirements for the plugin? You can find the requirements here: Plugin Requirements

Also, can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v15.2.1? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.3? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more: https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/
    ?
If you have already confirmed that both Yoast SEO and WordPress are up to date and the issue is still occurring, we would next recommend performing a manual re-install of the plugin to try to correct the issue. We have instructions on how to upgrade the plugin manually at the following link: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-fplugin/#ftp. You will need an FTP program such as FileZilla and your FTP details, which can be obtained from your host provider.

    Hello,
we had the same problem and couldn’t open and edit the menu. The problem was with the firewall. We use the 7G firewall and after updating to the current version it works. Maybe this is a general problem with some other firewalls, too?

Unfortunately, I’m not a techy guy, so I don’t understand those PHP and FTP @devnihil . But I can confirm that I am using WordPress 5.5.3.

So I will try to manually update this plugin.

But the question is, Does delete then reinstalling Yoast SEO affect my site rankings, meta tags, and meta descriptions that I had before or there is nothing to worry about?

@a1ac Thanks, we appreciate your response.

@askcaraa Can you please confirm whether you are using any type of additional security setting or rules in your site’s .htaccess file such as what @a1ac mentioned?

I recently reinstalled Yoast SEO and the problem remains.

If the issue is still occurring after reinstalling the plugin with WordPress 5.5.3 and only version 15.2.1 of the Yoast SEO plugin and a default theme such as Twenty Nineteen active, unfortunately we think this issue is specific to your site. We’d need to investigate further but are unable to do so on these forums. You can purchase Yoast SEO Premium at https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/ and receive our Premium email support and we can help you further.

Alternatively, if you believe the issue is specifically with the plugin and not the environment, you can create a new issue for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You will need an account to create a new issue. If this is your first bug report, please check out: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-write-a-good-bug-report/.
