I have created two types of Schema for my website, one is Schema WebPage and the other is LocalBusiness, since it is a cleaning company. I have both left them in the “whole site” position.

When doing the structured data test with the Google tool, a total of 4 types of Schema appear, the previous two + CreativeWork (inside there is a nonsense text) and SiteNavigationElement. These two are from the GeneratePress theme.

When searching for my website in Google, the results are not the same as I have configured them in my Schemas, although about 7 days have passed.

Could it be that the Yoast SEO plugin (I have it installed) automatically creates the WebPage schema?

Do I have to delete the WebPage schema created by me?

The CreativeWork and SiteNavigationElemen Schemas bother you at something?

    Thank you,
    Ivan.

@salamanderss We’ve identified several concerns in your message and responded to each below:

Could it be that the Yoast SEO plugin (I have it installed) automatically creates the WebPage schema?

Yes it does. We have more information on this here: https://yoast.com/schema-org-is-hard-yoast-seo-makes-it-easy/

Do I have to delete the WebPage schema created by me?

If you are finding conflicting or duplicate schema on your site, yes, you should.

The CreativeWork and SiteNavigationElemen Schemas bother you at something?

We aren’t sure what you meant by this question, can you please clarify?

I don’t understand, how can I fill in Yoast SEO Schemas?
What interests me the most is the LocalBusiness Schema, putting schedules, what the web is about, address …

    About your question, I mean:
These two Scemas The CreativeWork and SiteNavigationElement Schemas that are created by default by the GeneratePress theme, are they in conflict in the Schemas created by Yoast SEO?

I forgot to say that I have the free version of Yoast SEO.

    Hi @salamanderss,

Thanks for more details. The SiteNavigationElement depends on the context of your menu, so this schema data isn’t added by Yoast SEO. If your theme adds this instead, there should not be any conflict between the schema data output by your theme and Yoast SEO.

We would need more information about how CreativeWork is being used to know if there’s a conflict because that’s a very general schema type. For example, Yoast SEO already adds the WebPage schema, which is a more specific type of CreativeWork. See WebPage.

You can test to see if there are multiple versions of this data using the Google Structured Data Testing Tool.

You can add the LocalBusiness schema using a Yoast premium add-on plugin, Local SEO. If you have any questions about the features, we’re not able to answer them here in the forums due to the forum guidelines, but you’re welcome to contact us directly.

    1) According to what is understood, it can be said that I can leave SiteNavigationElement since the Yoast SEO Schema does not conflict.

    2) CreativeWork will remove it, since WebPage is more specific.
Did you say that WebPage is created by Yoast SEO in the free version, where can I modify the Schema WebPage data?

I have created the Schema LocalBusiness manually, so I am not interested.

    • That’s right, you can leave the SiteNavigationElement as it won’t conflict with. Yoast SEO generated schema markup;
    • You can change the schema type of a page by using the Yoast SEO meta box schema (tab). You can find the relevant tutorial video here on YouTube: https://youtu.be/fMHZGh7Zag0
