I had been for 5 days trying to figure out what was stopping my checkout getaway page to work… I did configure Paypal a trillion times, I started accepting transfer… but nothing was working… as soon as someone was trying to pay… no matter what and how… it was not working…

Today, happy day… I thought in disabling all plugins, and voila! it did work! Checkout pages was working again and customers where able to purchase items in my store again… Dammit!!!

Then I thought… ok… this mess was made by a plugin, but which? how? and why? After a lot of investigation… I found the issue… all other plugins didn’t made anything… But any time I was activating Yoast SEO my checkout page would stop working… After a trillion times… (I really think Yoast is a plugin to have)… I decided to leave it deactivated… So I have not Yoast SEO anymore… at least not until this issue is repaired…

I hope this helps the developers and helps many other shop owners… because the issue doesn’t look small and it had been creating big trouble.

    Al the best

  • Hi,

We apologize for the difficulties the plugin is causing for you. We can see this is a bit frustrating. We are happy to help. We would like some more information as this can help us troubleshoot and rule out or in possible issues.

    1. We had another recent release. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO, v14.9? If you update, does the issue resolve?

    2. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    3. Can you elaborate more on the specifics of what was not working? For example, is the issue that someone added an item into their cart. Then selected PayPal as an option and the PayPal screen to checkout failed to load?

Are you able to take a screenshot? You can use a tool like: https://pasteboard.co/ to share the image.

    Hi,

We apologize for any issues being caused with v14.9 of the Yoast SEO plugin with your checkout process on your website.

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

Since you mentioned everything is updated, we’d like to ask your help in performing a conflict check in order to isolate if the issue and what trigger of combination of themes and plugins are causing the conflict where it’s causing your checkout page to not function properly.

I deactivated all plugins Michael, so I have nothing additional to say since I said everything earlier. Cheers!

    Hi @loconoise,

We’re sorry for the continued difficulties. We’re happy to explore further.

While Yoast SEO is activated and being on the checkout page do you see any JavaScript errors appearing in your browser console?

If you see any sort of errors or warnings, can you please write us what they are? If possible, can you take a screenshot that highlights this issue? This would help us investigate the issue further.

I don’t see a reason to mark the issue as resolved, since is still happening. I don’t know what is the mistake or if it is related with javascript. You can check it yourself at: https://www.loco-noise.com
