    Hi,

My site uses a theme that generates automatically it’s SEO meta tags, however because of issues related to duplicated meta tags which resulted in penalty in Bing Index, I had to deactivate that feature. The theme also warned to deactivate if I was using any SEO plugin. My homepage [ redundant link removed ] and rest URLs have consistent issue when previewing link featured images in social medias or websites. I use Meta Tags to view basic aspects of SEO, surprising in that website and other alike sites preview images doesn’t show up. They show up only on WhatsApp and Twitter. I need that link image preview shows up in any app or website that supports that. Please, help!

It’s seems og:image tag is missing in source of all my pages… Perhaps error from Yoast SEO side…? How to fix it? Please, help!

    Hi @boostxd

We’re viewing the page source of your homepage and we see that there’s a separate og:image tag being generated that isn’t coming from the Yoast SEO plugin.

If you were to edit one of your posts or pages, could you go to the Yoast SEO meta box and go to the Social tab and the Facebook section and see if you’ve set an image? Please note that the .webp file extension isn’t supported yet, so please do use .jpg or .png and see if the og:image tag generates after.

    Hi @mikes41720,

The separate og:image I added in source of my pages manually (or programmatically) because of the issue of missing images in link preview. I used to use .jpg or .png but in search console my UX score dropped down a little, so I had to replace with .webp. Well at least in most of my pages. I personally don’t like .wepb image types, but the problem is that google is forcing it upon us. So at least to boost a little in search rankings I have to use them.

@boostxd Next time, do not gratuitously paste your link in the content. Use the link field. Also your site is very Not Safe For Work so you must flag your topic that way.

This time I did that for you.

    Hi @boostxd

We do know that the Yoast SEO plugin currently doesn’t support images with the .webp format so that’s probably why it’s omitting the og:image tag. We’re still adding compatibility with .webp images (and hope to add it in the future!), so if you could check if using .jpg or .png files as your set Facebook image, and then scrape it again in Facebook’s Sharing Debugger Tool, and see if this fixes the issue.
