    Hello,

i use the ecohost theme from cmsbased.net and the yoast seo plugin don’t work on my website. The cmsbased support told me, that i must use “bootstrap 3 compatible modules”. Is it possible, to activate yoast on my website?

So it looks up to date:

  • same problem

Confirming that. Yoast SEO doesn’t work with any Bootstrap 3 theme I’ve tested, I’m using mainly this one:

This is not a problem of theme developers. And I was just about to buy Yoast SEO after several years of being completely satisfied with it.

I just tested with the basic Bootstrap 3 WordPress theme framework and the plugin doesn’t cause the problem you described.

The Yoast SEO meta box relies on JavaScript to perform all its tasks. If JavaScript is disabled, blocked or detects a conflict, you may see a blank or semi-blank box.

Please try the suggestions here: Yoast SEO meta box is blank

My problem ist not a problem with the browser. If i disable the “cmsbased engine”, Yoast SEO works fine. I think, it is the combination of both plugins. If do you need a download from this plugin, let me know.

It miraculously works again after upgrading Yoast SEO to 3.7.1. So confirming that Bootstrap 3 WordPress themes work with Yoast and W3 Total Cache if both plugins are updated to their latest version (this post written on Oct 21st 2016).

After Upgrade to the new Yoast SEO Version 3.7.1, i have the same problem. Currently, I help myself, that I disable the plugin “cmsbased engine” (bootstrap 3) and then do the SEO optimization.

    Steps:

    – Disable “cmsbased engine” plugin (bootstrap 3)
    – SEO optimization per site
    – Activate “cmsbased engine” plugin
    – The Meta Tags are available

This works for me, but it is not nice. It seems as if it were only a display problem.

Please help me to end this.

As both I and @mattsrinc have successfully used the plugin with other BootStrap 3 themes, this is most likely related specifically to the way your theme works. Unfortunately, there is little we can do to troubleshoot a theme that is not publicly available. I understand you’ve already reported this to your theme developer so I would reach back out to them and provide this forum topic as confirmation that our plugin works with other BootStrap 3 themes.
