    Hi,

I’ve just downloaded and installed Yoast SEO on my WordPress site and I’m doing the first time configuration set up.

The first part is SEO Data Optimisation – all good there.

Next it’s onto Site Representation – it asks me if I’m a person or organisation to which I select person because I’m a one woman band. It then asks me my name and I’m to select a user from the dropdown menu, however, nothing shows in the dropdown menu. It won’t let me type in my name.

I’ve gone to the user section on my site and I’m right there, as an administrator.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.

Does anyone know what is up and how to fix this?

  • Hey @charlisavage,

Thank you so much for getting started with Yoast SEO on your site, sorry to hear you are stuck with selecting your site representation. Let’s see what is going on.

If you go to Users → Profile, did you already set your profile information such as name/last name and other Yoast SEO profile fields? If not, can you please fill them in and check again under Yoast SEO → Search Appearance → Select Person and see if your account is then listed in the dropdown?
    Hope this helpS.

I am having this issue. I have tried in both Firefox and Chrome to address it. I have filled out every single field on the user page, and still, nothing shows up in “Select a User” when doing the first-time setup.

Got the same issue. Anyone get it fixed?
