When I open a Page to edit the content the Yoast Seo box interface sits on top of the content in the middle of the page. I can temporarily move it out of the way but not permanently.
I noticed this happened when I upgraded wordpress about 6 months ago but haven’t been able to deal with it since.
I’ve tried to search for this in the forums and documents with no success. I have WP 5.2.3 and the free Yoast SEO. I don’t have any errors in Yoast SEO.
I am using One Press 2.2.4 (again free theme).

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I have the same problem, but it appeared a few days ago, not months ago.
It surely appeared after the last WordPress update, after September 4th 2019, and I’m quite sure that 4 days ago (September 7h) it wasn’t there.
It’s very difficult, or quite impossibile, to write articles with Yoast windows sitting on top of the page.

    Thank you

Same problem over several of my WP sites. Seems to be a Yoast problem or a Yoast on the newest WP problem ??

Is it happening since Chrome update to version 77.0?

See here: yoast plugin overlays in the middle of the wordpress post using chrome Version 77.0.3865.75

Yoast guys, please help us solve this dilemma!

    Hello,

This issue has been fixed by the Gutenberg team in their latest update (in the plugin version). As the WordPress core has not yet received an update, this issue persists.

There are several workarounds until then:
    a) Use another browser, i.e. Firefox (the issue only happens with the latest version of Google Chrome)
    b) Add this code to the functions.php file of the theme
    c) Install the Gutenberg v6.4.0 plugin

We hope to have cleared things up for you and please don’t hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions.
