Everytime there’s an update Yoast Seo stops working.
It doesn’t give me the options to change the settings and I can’t even send the site map to Google that is giving me errors on the Search Console.
    How can be fixed?

  • Hi @chiaraparodi78,

Thank you for reaching out. We’re sorry to hear that the plugin is causing issues or isn’t working as expected on your site. Let’s find out why that is.

First, can you confirm you are running our latest version 14.8.1 and that all other plugins, your themes and your WordPress installation is up-to-date? If you have open updates, please update them and see if the issue persists.

If you updated all of it and you are still having issues, can you please share a screenshot of what you see and what is not working correctly? You can share a screenshot with a service like https://snipboard.io/ so we can see what happens on your side. Apart from that, do you have a link to your site we can inspect? Thanks!

Hi Jeroen, I haven’t been posting blogs for a while. I just finished one and experience that Yoast isnt’t working as well. I have everything updated to latest version. Normally, under my post I see Yoast options. Making a meta description, enter a keyword sentence, check readability atc. Now, I just see written Yoast. Under it, SEO, readability, scheme and social. But I cannot click to open or fill in anything. I am not technical at all. So I hope you can give an explanation for dummies… Margreet

I second Margreetrotte. Yoast is broken across most sites.
    YOAST 14.8.1
    WordPress: 5.5

Does not matter the theme. Builder or no builder. Exact same experiences.
    How can we roll back?

    Hi @margreetrotte ,

There seems to be a plugin/theme conflict happening on your site. To better narrow down the issue, it’s best to perform a conflict check to determine and eliminate the conflicting plugin. As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process: How to check for plugin conflicts.

Also, in WordPress 5.5, a migration tool known as jquery-migrate is no longer enabled by default. This may lead to unexpected behaviors in sites that run plugins with older code. Therefore, we recommend you please try activating the WordPress official Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin to check whether this resolves the issue for you.

    Hi @blmbmj ,

We are sorry you’re having the same issue. Per the?forum guidelines, we ask that you please create separate topic for the issue you are experiencing.

That way it’s easier to track issues and provide assistance on your specific concerns on your specific site. Plus, you will get your own alerts for the issue rather than someone else’s. You may make a new topic here:?https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/wordpress-seo/#new-post.

    Thank you!

Thanks a lot for helping @jerparx, checked it out with the video, and after installed the Enable jQuery plugin and it seems it works properly again. Happy!!!
