    Hello,

I saw one other user with this issue, the Yoast SEO Meta Box & Focus Keyword disappeared – only the “readability” shows up. But the advice given there did not help. The option is enabled in the plugin. I tried reverting to a default theme, disabling other plugins, uninstalling and reinstalling the Yoast plugin. None of it works.

    Any thoughts?

  • Hi,

While we are not sure what other issue you referenced, we do know that often times it is related to incorrect settings:
?Can you confirm you have the right user permissions? You can check by going to Users->Your Name->Yoast SEO settings (may need to scroll down) and confirm that both “disable SEO” and “disable readability” are unclicked?

?Can you confirm that the Keyword,?Readability, and MetaBox insights are all enabled by going to SEO->Dashboard->Features and checking that Readability, Keyword, MetaBox Insights are both enabled?

?Can you confirm that the SEO and Readability are enabled on the posts? You can check by going to SEO->Titles and Metas->Post Type and seeing that the Yoast SEO Meta box says “show”?

?Can you confirm the right screen options have been enabled? You can check up clicking on screen options in the top right on that page and confirming that Yoast related options are enabled.

It was the first one. I’m not sure why that became disabled — it didn’t occur to me that it might be a user permission issue. Thank you!

Great, we’re glad to hear that the issue is now resolved. As always, if you continue to experience problems, please let us know.

@pcosta88 @mazedulislamkhan Thank you so much for your suggestion! The settings under the user was the problem! I unchecked those two boxes and it works now.

Any idea why it’s defaulting to that? I never clicked those boxes to begin with.

    Thanks again for your help.

I am having the same issue, i have tried all of the above and had it working fine just days ago. Today when i logged in and checked all my pages i could not find the keywords, nor could i find them listed in each pages source code. There is only one user setup on my website, is there a way i could reset everything without deleting all of my meta content to see if i can fix this issue. I have also troubleshot by deactivating all of my plugins except yoast and i changed themes just to check. All of my settings are correct in yoast, this is blowing my mind. It is like it just happened out of the blue!
