Hi, I set Meta Title and Description tags for my website via Yoast SEO, separately for each page.
These were updated last month and Google apparently has crawled the website fine.
    My website is https://www.bookatechy.com.
However, I notice discrepancies which are hurting my ranking:
Let’s look at the page bookatechy.com/services.

On Yoast SEO, I set the Meta Title to:
Book Repairs, Installations, Security and Purchase Services – Bookatechy
On Yoast SEO, I set the Meta Description to:
Repairs for your computer, laptop, smarthome device, smartphone | Tech Security for your Family | Expert Help on Tech Purchases & Installation in London

However, when I search on Google for the term ‘Bookatechy Services’, this is what I get for the https://bookatechy.com/services URL:
It only shows ‘Services: Bookatechy’ in Title and the wrong Meta Description

And when I search on Google for the Meta Title ‘Book Repairs, Installations, Security and Purchase Services – Bookatechy’, this is what I get for the https://bookatechy.com/services URL:
It shows the Meta Title and Meta Description as I had set on Yoast

This is similar across all the webpages on my website. It is definitely inconsistent and not what I want users to see when they search for Bookatechy. However I believe this is also hurting my search rank, as my website is not appearing on even the 20th page on Google Search.

Could somebody please help me out on this?

    Thanks
    Vash

You searched for a specific search term which means Google scans the index for that exact phrase. Google uses the search term to highlight information in search results which is why the information is different than what you entered into the plugin.

To see the meta title and description without search term manipulation, use the site search operator followed immediately by the URL of your site.

    site:bookatechy.com/services

The site search shows Google has cached your preferred title and description. Ultimately Google will, as you have seen, make the final decision on what they show in their search results. You may see a different title and/or description for all sorts of reasons. Due to this being changed on Google’s end, there is nothing you can do to force Google to display the preferred title and description.
