First of all, I would like to thanks Yoast for such a awesome plugin. It is very user friendly and helpful.

Now my problem. When i set my site live and test it with some simple meta tags and titles, everything worked normal and in Google search I saw exactly what I wanted. But now when I change meta tags, they don’t change in Google search. Also when I open my site in browser and go inspect element, I see these new tags that I want.I changed meta tags two days ago and they are still that old ones in search.

    Any suggestions?

Thank you in advance for your answers ??

  • Hey mrflash, it can take Google some time to update Meta Descriptions and Titles (days – weeks). These are not “live” impressions of your website – they are just Google’s “memory” (called cache) of what they looked like last time it checked. If you look in Google search you’ll find a small green down-arrow next to the URL of the search result. Click this and select “cached” to view when Google last took a snapshot of the page. The date and time will be listed at the top of your browser window.

That said, Google may still not update the Meta data until even later down the track.

    Hope this helps.
