    Hi,
    does Yoast SEO overwrite the URLs title attribute?
    I have noticed that on my blog all title attributes are overwritten if I insert a Focus Keyword for a Blog post.

    I have searched for an option to shut this off but didn’t find any option. How can I prevent that my titles get overwritten. The PlugIn should at least check if there are som title inserted and only write them if empty.

    Thanks

  • Hi,

    same thing.
    how i can use different title and og:title?
    for example:

    <title>%page% %site%</title> and
    <meta property=”og:title” content=”%page%” />

    I’m talking about the title attribute in the links not meta title.

    Like <a href="#" title="This is the title"></a>

    You can set a variable template for your posts if you go to your admin dashboard > SEO (sidebar) > Search Appearance > Content Types Tab, and edit the variables — https://kb.yoast.com/kb/yoast-wordpress-seo-titles-metas-template-variables/

    If you were to edit that post or page specifically, you can scroll down to the Yoast SEO meta box, click on the ‘edit snippet’ and then modify the SEO title and meta description to be specific for that post or page. You can then also click on the ‘social’ tab and icon to change the open graph tag accordingly, so it would be different from the SEO title.
