Yoast SEO Plugin Compatibility Issue with WordPress Twenty Twenty-Three Full Sit

    I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out to seek assistance regarding an issue I encountered while using the Yoast SEO plugin in combination with the WordPress Twenty Twenty-Three theme’s full site editor.

    When I create my homepage using the full site editor, I am unable to see the Yoast SEO plugin fields, which are crucial for optimizing my website’s SEO. This is a concerning matter for me as I rely heavily on the Yoast SEO plugin to enhance my site’s search engine visibility and overall performance.

    I have followed the regular setup process for the Yoast SEO plugin and have ensured that both the theme and the plugin are up-to-date. However, the integration seems to be incomplete, and the SEO fields are nowhere to be found while editing my homepage with the full site editor.

    I understand that the Twenty Twenty-Three theme utilizes a full site editor, which might cause variations in how plugins function. Therefore, I am eager to know if there are any specific adjustments or customizations required to make the Yoast SEO plugin fully compatible with the Twenty Twenty-Three full site editor.

    Hello Ram,

    Thanks for your question about Full Site Editing (FSE) and the Yoast SEO plugin. When you use the homepage template in the Twenty Twenty-Three theme, you can optimize your homepage SEO like you don’t have a static homepage. Please navigate to WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Homepage.

    Other FSE templates within a block theme aren’t integrated yet, but we have feature requests to work on this.

    So in order to edit the homepage SEO setting I should use the Content Types > Homepage you mentioned – right?
    The settings there looks different from the regular Yoast SEO settings that I’m used to:

    will something similar will be added In future releases to the FSE templates?

    Hello Ram,

    Yes, the screenshot you shared shows where to perform SEO for the homepage. And we do have feature requests to integrate other FSE templates.

    As I mentioned before – When I go to WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Homepage I don’t see the “regular” Yoast SEO screen I added in my screenshot above but rather something else:

    So if I want to get the “regular” Yoast SEO screen in my homepage FSE template I will have to wait for you to develop the feature request you mentioned.
