My web site is a stand-alone, ie no social media links etc. I see that when I Google my site, the search results includes a block of text it has chosen from my front page but which does NOT belong in the search result and I do NOT want it there.

Sadly, the Yost SEO plug in pages are now SO complex and full of jargon, I cannot work out how to choose the text myself that appears.

I am not a pro, but I did build my own site, starting when the www started and there were no books or help other than trial and error, and it is now a very important site seen around the world. Must I give up on Yoast SEO or can it be made more user-friendly so something like this can be done without help?
