Yoast SEO sitemap error in GSC

Hey guys,

I am getting an error every time I try and update my sitemap to GSC. As you can see, the sitemap loads both pages within it properly, but when I submit it to GSC I get the error response “Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.” and it says that the sitemap is in an unsupported file format. If anyone has any input on this issue that would be great!

P.s. My page-sitemap wasn’t loading before but now I fixed it, I thought that was the reason behind the error in GSC but it is still prompting it even though the page-sitemap is working now.
