    Hi,

I am in charge of a client’s WordPress website, https://www.zcontrolcloud.com. I have Yoast SEO version 9.6 installed and I am having issues with the Snippet Preview Content Editor. It disappears when I hover on it and get this error on the Inspector tool console:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘getEditedPostAttribute’ of undefined

I need to change what it says on the browser tab of a page and can’t do this if I can’t see the editor for it. Is there any solution to this? If not, when can I expect an update to fix this problem?

    Hi,

We would like some more information.

    A. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.0.3? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider.?Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast.?This guide explains more:?https://yoast.com/why-we-dont-support-old-wordpress-versions/.

    B. Are all your non-Yoast plugins and themes also updated?

    C. Are you using the Classic editor or the new Gutenberg editor?

I’m having exactly the same problem on multiple sites.

For me, as soon as I turn off a plugin called Elfsight Instagram feed it comes straight back.

I’m running the latest version of WordPress (5.0.3) and all plugins updated, along with classic editor.

    The error I get is

TypeError: undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘wp.data.select(“core/editor”).getPostEdits’)

@aaronbennett2097 Please create a new issue if you are experiencing a similar problem as this helps us in tracking as this can be caused by many different variables (javascript errors, WordPress version, other plugins, etc).

Sorry for the late reply. I got caught with a lot of stuff. But, in regards to this problem, everything seem to just work again. When I hover on Yoast Snippet Preview, it doesn’t disappear anymore like it used to.

The solution… Unknown. I don’t know what I did or if it just a temporary error.

But anyways, to answer your question @pcosta88:
    A) Using WordPress 4.9.9
    B) Theme is updated, and all non-yoast plugins are updated
    C) Classic Editor
