We’re sorry you are having a problem with the SEO title display on a single post title. Could you please check the respective settings and confirm if Sitename and Separator are set?

To check the Sitename go to your admin dashboard Settings > General >> Site Title. If the Site Title field is empty please specify.

To check the Separator,go to SEO > Search Appearance >> General(tab) and select the separator?

Yes all are set.

It looks like this right now in the preview mode.

mobile version
has my siteicon, then url to website, and then sitetitel

Example:
siteicon %sep% websitename.dk %sep% Tomato with salad %sep%
And a image (featured) in content

Desktop version
No siteicon No image only sitetitle

Example:
Tomato with salad

1. Can you confirm you are using the most recent Yoast SEO 15.4?
2. Can you confirm you are using WordPress 5.5.3?
3. In addition, could you please share a screenshot and post URL with us in which you highlight the issue you are experiencing?

Hi,

It looks like you’ve set the correct defaults in the SEO > Search Appearance for the templates for your titles for your posts.

However, it looks like you’ve set a specific SEO title in the Yoast SEO meta box when editing that specific post. If you were to completely remove what is currently in the SEO title field for that post, and then update and save the changes, do the template variables then show up the same as what you’ve set under SEO > Search Appearance?

Yes you’re right. It works.

I have not set a specific SEO title, but maybe old settings did this.
Anyway, I know how to fix this now. GREAT and thanks.

But,
what about the missing image in desktop version. That’s still a problem.

And there is another problem in this section.
Default Page type = Article. That’s wrong. Should be recipe.

I hope yoast have this in mind (todo list)

We understand the image thumbnail is missing in the desktop mode from the Yoast SEO snippet preview. This is to be expected as the image thumbnail is specific to mobile devices only.

On the other hand, we understand the default page type should be recipe instead of the article. We can confirm that our development teams are currently working on the recipe schema markup. So, it might be available soon in the plugin.
