    Yoast SEO title is not acknowledged by moz, Open seo stats & I’m worried Google will too..

    Hello,
    MOZ warns me that my Title Length on posts are all “too long”. I checked every post & made sure I’m using MOZ to shorten these. I refreshed page & used other tools like Open seo stats & they still warned me my post titles are too long. Kindly help..

    The MOZ titles reflect the title output in your source code. This means your site’s theme is not using the Yoast title.

    Please try the suggestions in this article: The SEO title output for the plugin doesn’t work as expected

    the theme we used already supports
    add_theme_support( ‘title-tag’ );

    How is the theme calling the title (usually in header.php)? Does it look like this:

    <title><?php wp_title(''); ?></title>

    or is it something longer like:

    <title><?php wp_title('?','true','right'); ?> <?php bloginfo('name'); ?></title>

    The first option allows plugins to write a custom title. The second inserts additional data into the title and can cause the titles to not match our plugin. While you can temporarily edit the title call to the first one, your change may be overwritten when your theme updates. For a permanent fix, please reach out to your theme developer for advice.

    Hi @amboutwe,
    This is the response we got from the theme developer:

    The theme already supports
    add_theme_support( ‘title-tag’ );
    – you will see it in the file admin/theme_support.php so the 1st thing id suggest is to enable Force Rewrite Titles in the Yoast Title settings

    I hope this helps.

    We have been using our theme for 11 months & had no problems with the previous versions of Yoast at all. Only this latest version. We are using a VC (visual composer) theme btw..
