Yoast SEO will not update my tagline. I have tried deactivating it and the right tagline will appear…every time I reactive the plugin it goes back to the old tagline.

→I’ve tried purging the cache of both my website and my computer.
→Deactivating and deleting it and reinstalling it.

I need help updating the tagline because it shows at the top of my browser.

Hello @mttabor

Thanks for reaching out regarding your tagline but Yoast SEO doesn’t have the feature to add a tagline. It’s a default WordPress field.

Please provide us with screenshots that highlight the issue you are experiencing. You can use any image-sharing service like https://pasteboard.co/, https://snag.gy/, https://imgur.com/, https://snipboard.io/, or even upload the screenshot to your own website. Once you upload it to an image-sharing service, please share the link to the image here.

It seems your tagline is showing in the title. With Yoast SEO installed, please share the following screenshots:
- WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > General > Site Basics
- WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Homepage
- WordPress > Yoast SEO > Settings > Content Types > Pages
