Yoast seriously slowing down and crashing website
-
Hi there,
I’ve noticed that after updating all plugins, my website displays the “white screen of death”. The debug log saying the amount of memory has been exhausted, changing the limit to 1GB fixes this, but then it still crashes because the execution time exceeds 30 seconds (from the debug log). And the WordPress dashboard is ridiculously slow (or unreachable) when this is active as well.
Yea that was reason enough to disable it, initially we were thinking of only having this plugin enabled time to time to view and take advice on SEO keep then leave it disabled otherwise (in order to provide a smooth website experience). But I’ve been convinced that this is better as a 24/7 plugin. Is there any advice or info on this as well please? But mainly I’m looking to fix these errors and performance advice, what can be done about this? I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but is there anything else? We’ve got the latest WordPress version and PHP V7.1.
Thanks a lot!
