As the title states, we’ve recently switched over to Yoast from AIO SEO. The site is large with over 20k posts. When on the main posts page in the backend of WP, there is a blue dot on all posts stating that the post is set to noindex. That’s not the real setting though. Both inside all posts and on the frontend, we’re getting the normal and expected index meta tag.

Any insight would be ideal as it a bit unsettling seeing it on the backend on a fresh install.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing some issue with Yoast SEO after migrating from AIO SEO. We understand there’s a blue dot appearing on the backend post listing indicating posts as noindex but in fact, the post are set to index.

Can you please try resetting our indexables in the database tables by following the steps below?
    1. Install & activate the?Yoast Test Helper plugin
    2. Go to Tools > Yoast Test
    3. Hit the “Reset indexables & migrations” button.
    4. Go to SEO > Tools, and under SEO data, click the “Process and speed up site” button to allow Yoast to rescan your pages.

In addition, clear all your caching from your theme, plugin, server, CDN like CloudFlare or browser. To clear the cache from a browser use this guide: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-to-clear-my-browsers-cache/.

For the health and safety of your site, we recommend creating regular backups of your site and database. This is especially important before installing, updating, or removing plugins.
