Yoast Sitemap AND Baidu Sitemap

Hi,

I have a Chinese website on which I want to use a “normal” sitemap but also a Baidu sitemap, which is very helpful to have for sites to show up in the Chinese Baidu search engine (the Google of China).

I have a Baidu sitemap currently on my site, but Yoast is telling me:

The following file is blocking your XML sitemaps from working properly. Either delete it (this can be done with the “Fix it” button) or disable Yoast SEO XML sitemaps.

Is this a real conflict, or is it something that just isn’t generally recommended? Meaning, does the Yoast sitemap not actually work (i.e., search engines in the US/Europe won’t be able to access this sitemap)?
