Yoast sitemap and GTM xml parsing issue
-
Hi there,
My sitemap is a blank page, but the source code is there. I’ve followed the instructions: https://kb.yoast.com/article/123-xml-sitemap-errors but unfortunately, nothing works and I’m not using W3 Total Cache plugin.
However, my site is hosted on WPEngine, and their support says WPEngine’s caching plugin can not be the culprit for this issue.
The error (when looked in Firefox) says:
XML Parsing Error: not well-formed...
and it points to the GTM (Google tag Manager) code, but the error is misleading as the code is fine. I have GTM code just after opening<body>
tag. The code is clean, without white spaces, or missing semicolons.I’ve noticed a few similar issues in the past, like this one: https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/235 but the author said it was fixed.
Is there anyone with the same issue? Any advice or thoughts?
Thank you!
