My sitemap seems to be broken.

Latest WP install, running AVADA theme (not the latest but only about 6 months old). I’m only using the AVADA recommended plugins.

    https://www.sprintconvergence.co.uk/page-sitemap.xml

This is the link that opens when I click the view sitemap button in the YOAST control panel area.

I have other sites set up in this way that work fine. Before I swap to another plugin, can anyone offer any insight as I do like to use YOAST.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for your reply.

    I get this error:
“Error loading stylesheet: A network error occurred loading an XSLT stylesheet:https://sprintconvergence.co.uk/main-sitemap.xsl”

I gather this would be a 404 or other error, so I follow the link on your support article – the third bullet point taking me to this support article:

    https://kb.yoast.com/kb/xml-sitemap-errors/

None of these symptoms listed describe my issue. The only one I thought it could potentially be is the fourth one down. I tried the resaving the permalinks anyway (the suggested fix) – but this didn’t change anything.

Any idea what to try next please? Thank you.

    Your preferred URL is: https://www.sprintconvergence.co.uk/

The sitemap is calling the sitemap without the www portion. This is causing the issue as the sitemap cannot use a redirected stylesheet. Please check your setup to find what is rewriting the URL.

    Common places to review settings:

    • Admin > Settings > General: WordPress Address (URL) vs Site Address (URL)
    • Plugins that provide cache or speed improvements
    • Plugins for redirecting posts or pages
    • Security plugins
    • Plugins that globally redirect all non-www to www or vice versa
