Yoast Snippet I wrote not appearing in google search

My snippet I wrote for my site is not appearing in google. Is there a reason it doesn’t work?
Instead what shows up in google is an old version of my site from when it was being developed:
” beautiful, professional, reliable wordpress sites. This site is currently being updated.”Why isn’t my Yoast snippet showing up instead?
