    Hello,

Yoast has certain Social Sharing capabilities. For example, for Facebook, you can set the post title, a description and image for each post or page. My question is: Does Yoast also provide the share buttons or do you need another sharing plugin such as AnyToAny to get share buttons that show on a page? Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reaching out.

After publishing a post, you can share to Facebook or Twitter. There is a notification that comes up on the right sidebar (Pre-publish check). See image

In the alternative, to make sharing to your Facebook page, Twitter, or other social networks easier and less time-consuming, we’ve created something to automate this process. The Zapier integration in Yoast SEO Premium lets you automatically share your content on whatever platform you prefer. Without compromising on the quality of your social posts, as you’ll be able to customize what these posts will look like. After setting up your automated publication flow, your content will be shared on a platform of your choice every time you publish a post.

Thanks for your response. I may have mislead you with incorrect terminology.

By sharing, I mean that a visitor to the site has the option of sharing a post to his/her Facebook site. I was not referring to me sharing my post to my Facebook site.

Does your free version provide the Sharing Buttons for visitors to use?

    Hi @engine44

No, neither the free or premium version of the Yoast SEO for WordPress plugin has that feature to add social sharing buttons to the posts or pages on your website.

You might want to take a look at another plugin in the WordPress plugins repository that may fit your needs.

Ok, thanks. As I mentioned originally, I am using AnyToAny to provide the buttons. That app is designed to work with Yoast if desired.

I am a plugin developer. Is there a filter to add a LinkedIn button next to the facebook and twitter buttons?
