I’m trying to install Yoast and I get as far as the Webmaster Tools. I’ve tried all of the verification methods there. When I place the HTML code, it prints it on my page! Which doesn’t look too nice. The others give me similar messages to “Verification failed for https://www.songsense.org/ using the HTML file method (less than a minute ago). Your verification file was not found.” What am I doing wrong?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

In order verify your site on Google search console using the Yoast SEO, you’ll need to use the Alternate verification method -> Meta tag options from your Google search console property. Form the meta tag, you’ll only need to copy the verification code, not the full HTML code and place it in the Yoast SEO plugin. Please, refer to our this guide to learn more about this.
